Once you have found a property which suits you, we will ask you to fill out an application form for each adult who will be living there.
We will also ask that you arrange for the holding fee of one week’s rent to be sent to us. Please note we cannot begin the referencing process until this is received.
Once we receive your holding funds and completed application form, we will begin to contact your references.
Where possible we do this via email to speed up the process. Where this isn’t possible, we ask for written references which are sent through the post.
Once all of your references are back, we will present these to your potential landlord and hopefully be able to offer you a tenancy.
Sometimes we may be required to ask for further references or information from you, but we try our upmost to be transparent and keep you up to date with progress during this process.
If you have any queries or concerns at any stage of the referencing process, please feel free to get in touch with us.
Once the tenancy has been offered to you, we will draw up a tenancy agreement and send this to you. Where possible we’ll send this via email for electronic signature (with full instructions on how to do this!)
At this stage we will also ask for the security deposit of 5 weeks to be sent to us.
Once this is back, we’ll arrange to meet you at your new home at a time which suits you to handover the keys and go over any other relevant paperwork (such as a schedule of condition, EPC, gas safety certificate or electrical safety certificate). Sometimes your new landlord might want to handover keys to you as a chance to meet you.
